Memorials |

|
There are many memorials dotted around New Zealand, commemorating those who
served and those who died in South Africa during the Boer War. Some are are
easily-identified public memorials, whilst others are hidden away in churches,
schools and public institutions.
Due to the relatively small number of casualties sustained during the war, there
are several memorials dedicated to individual men.
Some memorials include the names of those New Zealanders who served with the
myriad of irregular units raised in South Africa or with British Imperial
forces. These men will be included in the database,
even though they did not serve with the NZ Contingents.
Select either the North Island or the
South Island to view the memorials. |
