This obelisk-style monument was unveiled in Norsewood on Sunday 27/1/1902, in front of a large crowd.
Designed and carved in Napier, this monument is one of a number of memorials
dedicated to individual soldiers in New Zealand. The obelisk is marble and sits
on a concrete tiered base.
